Bompietro is a small town in the Madonie on the Petralias slope. It dates back to the XVII century and apparently its name stems from buon Pietro, good Pietro, a man renowned for his expertise in curing all sort of diseases and illnesses using herbs. The economy of this town is based on agriculture. The only remarkable monuments in town are the Mother church and Palazzo Gangi.
