In the Northern Madonie, this small rural centre still preserves the urban plan typical of medieval villages; the main attractions in Scillato, though, are its landscapes and its cool climate.
You may like to visit some interesting buildings used for weaving, called parature. When describing Scillato, one cannot forget its two important springs, one in the Agnello district and the other one in the Guelfone area, from where fresh and clean water for the city of Palermo has always been drawn.
